Catholic Christian author Theresa Villarreal, creates faith-inspired stories for young readers, including her Adventures in Oculus middle-grade portal fantasy series. Her books transport kids to magical worlds filled with courage, friendship, and discovery while weaving Christian themes of hope, faith, and truth.

Theresa also writes picture books, Christian devotionals, and children’s resources, including her own Eaty Man coloring book, a cute and fun activity book all about food. She is currently developing a new chapter book. As a self-published author, she combines creativity with professional expertise to craft engaging stories that entertain and inspire.

She is the co-host of The Storyteller’s Shelf Podcast, celebrating children’s literature from board books to young adult. On the podcast, Theresa and her co-host interview authors, illustrators, and publishing professionals, share in-depth book reviews, and provide guidance for aspiring writers. Theresa also offers independent kidlit book reviews to help authors promote their work and connect with readers.

A graduate of the University of Houston’s Bauer School of Business, Theresa brings marketing and sales expertise to her writing and publishing journey. Her stories and devotionals reflect her Catholic faith, encouraging readers to explore imagination, embrace courage, and grow spiritually.

A homeschooling mom of two, Theresa enjoys family life, baking, gardening, and finding inspiration for her books and podcast in everyday creativity.
